Instead of starting from scratch, you can use ready-made Toastmasters material, personalize it lightly, and deliver a presentation that helps both you and your club.

What’s New

With the 2025 Pathways enhancements, members working in Levels 3–5 may now encounter required presentations from Toastmasters’ Education Series.

At first glance, this can sound like extra work. In reality, these presentations give members a head start. They are structured, practical, and designed to help clubs become stronger.

Why Education Series Speeches Help

• The Better Speaker Series — organizing your speech, vocal variety, gestures, and other practical speaking skills.

• The Successful Club Series — topics that help clubs improve meetings, evaluations, membership, and the member experience.

• The Leadership Excellence Series — topics that strengthen leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and club success.

How to Make It Your Own

The key is not to simply read the material. The key is to bring it to life. Add a brief personal story, use an example from your club, ask the audience a question, or connect the topic to a real meeting experience.

A little personalization turns a prepared presentation into your speech. You are still developing your speaking skills, but you are not starting with a blank page.

A Simple Strategy

When you reach Level 3 or higher, do not wait until the end of the level to think about your Education Series presentation. Choose the presentation early, ask your Vice President Education to schedule it, review the material, add your own examples, and practice it like any other speech.

This approach turns a requirement into an easy win. It also gives your club a helpful educational program while helping you complete your Pathways progress.
