PATHWAYS POINTERS OVERVIEW

Meeting Roles image
Which Meeting Roles Now Count in Pathways

Short answer: Almost everything you already help with.

Before the October 2025 enhancements, only a small number of meeting roles counted toward Pathways completion. Members often served in meetings regularly but still had to take on additional assignments just to make progress in their Path.

That’s no longer the case.

Expanded Role Recognition

Pathways now recognizes many more meeting roles, including roles members commonly volunteer for in regular club meetings.

These may include (depending on your Path and level):

  • Toastmaster of the Day

  • Timer

  • Grammarian

  • Ah-Counter

  • Evaluator

  • Table Topics™ Master

  • General Evaluator

  • Meeting Chair or Facilitator

Instead of “just helping out,” your service now counts toward your educational goals.

What This Means for You

  • You can earn Pathways credit while doing what you already do at meetings

  • Less waiting for specific roles to open up

  • More flexibility in how you complete Levels

Important note:
Not every role applies to every Path or Level — always check your project instructions to see which roles qualify and how many times they must be completed.

Bottom line:
Pathways now rewards active participation. When you serve your club, you’re also serving your Path.
