High Performance Leadership Checklist

1) Define Vision & Success
- Write a one-sentence purpose and 3 measurable outcomes (success criteria).
- Identify key stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Draft a brief vision/mission statement to share with your team.
2) Form Guidance Committee (3–5)
- Invite advisors who will challenge and support you.
- Schedule all five touchpoints now: kickoff, vision, plan/team, midpoint, close.
- Capture advice and decisions after each meeting.
Tip: Keep meetings short with a single decision focus.
3) Build the Plan & Team
- Create timeline & milestones; assign owners.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and handoffs.
- Share the plan with team and committee; incorporate feedback.
4) Lead Execution
- Run brief standups; track risks and blockers.
- Communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Adjust plan as needed; document changes.
5) Evaluate & Reflect (360°)
- Collect feedback from: a team member, a guidance-committee member, and yourself.
- Debrief results with the committee; agree on lessons learned.
- Record outcomes vs. success criteria; note impact on club/community.
6) Club Speeches
- Speech 1 (Plan): Vision, team, milestones, and how members can help.
- Speech 2 (Results): Outcomes, lessons, recognition, and next steps.
